The Genetics Core (Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility) team can assist you with your clinical research from sample collection to genetic analysis, working in accordance with the principles of Good Clinical Practice for Laboratories. The team aims to be a centre of excellence for quality assured genomic research and has an excellent team of motivated technicians.

They offer Next-Generation Sequencing & library preparation (Illumina NextSeq2000, NextSeq550 & iSeq), microarrays (Illumina iScan), digital PCR (Stilla Technologies), Taqman genotyping & qPCR (Life QuantStudio12k flex), Sonicator (Covaris E220), DNA & RNA extraction (manual & automated), sample biobanking & barcode tracking & nbsp.

The Genetics Core facility is open for internal and external use.
